
Alfred Chris Attaway Jr. was born on December 26, 1991 to the proud parents of Alfred and Yvette Attaway. Chris (as he is called) has been utilizing his many gifts and talents a laborer of the Gospel for twelve years.
At the tender age of seven years old, Chris accepted Christ and has been on fire ever since. Under the leadership of Pastor, Dr. R. A. Vernon, Chris was baptized and accepted into the Second Tabernacle Baptist Church family. There, from six years of age until the age of seventeen, Reverend Attaway played the drums, directed the choir, served as praise team leader, and assistant to the pastor. On August 13, 2006 at the age of 14, Chris preached his first sermon at the Second Tabernacle Baptist Church on Youth Sunday under the leadership of Lyneil Nash. This was the day that Chris has acknowledged and accepted his calling.
In the year of 2009, Chris joined the New Light Baptist Church Family in Cleveland, Ohio under the leadership of Pastor R.W. Sales. After one year of close observation Pastor Sales officially licensed Reverend Alfred Chris Attaway Jr. on July 25, 2010. Chris served faithfully at the New Light Baptist Church where he served as the Youth Minister, pastor’s assistant, praise team leader and choir director. God then called him to serve at The Grace Baptist Church of Cleveland, Where Rev. Dr. Ivory K. Jones, III is Pastor. On August 23rd Alfred Chris Attaway became an ordained Reverend at The Grace Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Ivory K. Jones, III. He is currently serving at The Friendship Baptist Church of Nashville, Where Rev. Jimmy D. Greer is the pastor. Outside of his duties at his home church, Chris is a member of the Youth Ministers & Pastors Council of Cleveland, Ohio where he serves as Overseer of Ministers. He also serves in many other groups and organizations across Cleveland, Oh and Nashville, TN.
Reverend Attaway has been blessed to be able to spread the gospel in and outside of the country. Chris enjoys using his angelic voice to uplift the name of Jesus Christ and motivate others to “Try and Trust God”. His favorite scripture is Psalm 42:1”as the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.” Reverend Attaway’s motto is “Being. Belonging. Becoming with the Power of Jesus Christ” He believes that his true purpose in life is to encourage, empower, and excite the saints thru the theological excoriation of the gospel.
Reverend Attaway currently attends The American Baptist College of Nashville TN, Where he is pressuring his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible and Theology. Reverend Attaway always welcomes your prayers in the navigation of his future; for he is only in the backseat, while God alone drives.
